Doxfen POS is made by Doxfen. This page explains what information we collect when you use the Doxfen POS app and this website, and what we do with it.
Your shop data stays on your computer
Your sales, products, stock, customers, Udhaar records, suppliers, expenses and reports are stored only in the database on your own computer. We do not receive, see or store any of it. Backups are saved on your computer, or wherever you choose to save them.
What the app sends to us
- Your phone number and store name, to create and check your licence.
- A computer ID, generated from your computer, so a licence is used on the computers it was registered for.
- Licence check times, when the app connects to confirm your licence (at least once every 60 days).
- Crash reports, only when the app hits a serious error: the error message and technical details, the app version, your phone number, and your computer's operating system and name. These help us fix problems quickly.
What the website collects
When you use the contact form, we receive the name, email, phone number and message you enter, by email, so we can reply. When you download the app, we are notified of the file, the time, your approximate city and country, and your browser type, so we know how many shops are trying Doxfen POS. We also count page views and download clicks with Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure visits and does not tell us who you are. The website does not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
Only to run your licence, provide support, fix bugs, and contact you about your account or payments. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Where it is kept
Licence and crash information is stored with the cloud services we use to run Doxfen POS (Google Firebase and Vercel), and crash alerts are sent to our private support channels. App updates are downloaded from GitHub. These providers may store data outside Pakistan.
How long we keep it
Licence information is kept while your account exists. Crash reports are kept as long as they are useful for fixing problems. Ask us and we will delete your account information, unless we need to keep payment records.
